Time marches on at an accelerating pace, the older I get the faster time slips away.

Religion, Gods and People.

    For as long as man has walked the earth he has sought the favours or blessings of the gods to make life easier & to defeat his foes. Now, in the 21st-century man still beseeches his gods. I put the word in lower case as I see no reason for capitals because if a god of any sort were to exist he/she/it would have a lot to answer for. Why does man still feel the need to have gods? I mean there is no evidence that such things as gods have EVER existed. I know that belief in any religion is just to belong to one group of people or another. Religion also has a lot to answer for as well. At a rough guess, I'd say that gods & religions have been responsible for more death & destruction than any other means you can think of.
   Religion is for people who cannot carry the burden of truth. The truth of ultimate responsibility for oneself. Alone. No forgiveness from your gods/beliefs, for your actions. No get out of jail /  72 virgins/ purgatory or whatever your belief system promises. No reason for your existence. Other than we are all products of the Universe.
     Yet billions continue to believe in religion/god, or whatever. If these billions of believers would be so good as to go to their gods as soon as possible the planet would thank them & they would get to see that which they profess to bow before. So come on all you believers lets be having you, your starship, god, prophet is calling you all to go. Vacate the planet all you believers, & do the earth some good.

'08, Good Riddance.

After the year I've had I just want 2008 to be over. There is no way I will look back on the past year with anything but a sense of loss. Let's hope 2009 fares better

Death of the Internet

In the year 2012 the internet will no longer be as it is. NET NEUTRALITY will cease, as all the major i.s.p. companies are in SECRET talks to make us pay for a more tv style net & any extras, like blogging, YouTube & many other sites will be bundled in packages, so if you want more than the home site you pay, then pay some more. All the major service providers are in on this carve up, in great secrecy. Once they have concluded their plans there will be no alternative but to pay for access to sites that are now free. DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS !

2012: The Year The Internet Ends

Sunday, Bloody Sunday.

After all these years I'm still not sure about Sundays. I mean I don't believe in religion or God(s) of any denomination yet Sunday IS different to the other days of the week. Maybe one day all will be known to me & I will have the answer to Sunday, & other things that make me scratch my head.

& again

Well I'm surprising myself by tapping the keys once more. Once again I doubt the usefulness of blogging. I mean I don't wish to spill my guts or reveal my inner thoughts & feelings to the web & all & sundry. So this is ultimately a pointless exercise. Mind you what else am I going to do? No one is gonna read this anyway and the typing is good practice.

Here again

I'm back, although I still haven't convinced myself that I want or should be doing this. Still I will continue in my own way.
I shall state for the record that I don't think dark energy is a real phenomenon, I believe that the accelerating expansion of the universe is down to a fluctuation of space-time . Now I shall wait to see what the scientific world decides.
